  • a giant in the genus with round textured 3` bulbs each topped with a huge pendulous bluish-green leaf up to 30` long and 4` wide, short basal spikes produce clusters of 15 or more fleshy deep-red 3` blooms with white speckles on the dorsal sepals, said to smell of cooked cabbage but not as bad as some other Bulbophyllums (one has been described as being akin to a herd of rotting elephants)
