  • an excellent and rare species that blooms all summer once established, thin wiry pseudobulbs are topped by a thick and spotted, spear-shaped leaf that is narrower than that of N. purpurea, tiny (1/2`) bright purple flowers are more open and have a sack shaped lip, appear successively in clusters at the end of wiry spikes that rebloom each year, very floriferous and loved by hummingbirds.
